Protest demos galore at Collectorate

VIZIANAGARAM: The Collectorate here on Monday witnessed protest demonstrations that were organised by various associations and unions. Some 60 borewell mechanics working on contract for several years staged a dharna .

Mid-day meal workers while opposing proposal of the government to involve SHGs in the scheme demanded honorarium besides other social security benefits. Physically handicapped, owing allegiance MRPS, sought financial assistance for sustenance and also filling of back log vacancies in government departments. V.
