HYDERABAD: The foundation stone for the Rs. 5.75 crore Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) for industrial parks of Nacharam and Mallapur was laid by B.P. The CETP being established by Indwa Technologies, with an initial capacity of 2 MLD to go up to 8 MLD on Build Own and Operate (BOO) basis, is expected to be ready within six months’ time. Once completed, the facility will treat waste water from units at the two industrial parks and also the textile park. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Acharya asked the company to get the facility operational on fast track before the monsoon. The industrial estate here was vulnerable for pollution and has already drawn adverse response from various quarters. “It is high time, the CETP is taken up here,” he said. The industrial estate is also being equipped with various amenities and infrastructure including storm water drain at Rs. 8 crore and roads with around Rs. 5.50 crore, Mr. Acharya informed.
