HYDERABAD: Governor N. D. Tiwari in his address to the joint session of the Assembly and the Council said the government proposed to make Hyderabad a world class city. He said the Metro Rail Project had been taken up in the State capital at an estimated cost of Rs. 8,482 crore. It would span over 66 km on three high density traffic corridors to ease traffic congestion. Mr. Tiwari said the government was spending Rs. 4,000 crore on the Outer Ring Road project, apart from Rs. 600 crore on the Elevated Expressway taken up to connect the international airport at Shamshabad to the city.
