Punjab, TN advance

Madurai: Punjab and host Tamil Nadu qualified for the semifinals of the 17th youth (under-21) National football championship, beating Bengal (4-2) and Mizoram (2-0) respectively in their group ‘A’ quarterfinal league matches here on Tuesday.

Punjab finished on top of the group with seven points. Tamil Nadu, which tied with Bengal with four points also made the grade on better goal difference.
