VIZIANAGARAM: A branch and ATM of Axis Bank were opened here on Wednesday evening by the bank’s president (Southern zone) C.P. Rangarajan. Later, speaking to media persons, Mr. Rangarajan said the branch was the 51st in Andhra Pradesh and 614th in the country. He said the bank had so far earned Rs. 70 crores profit and targeted to achieve Rs. 1,000 crores during the current fiscal. He said the rural lending facility would be extended to farmers through this branch shortly. K.
