Shree Devi wins bowl-out

MANGALORE: Shree Devi group of colleges defeated Karavali Group of Colleges in a bowl-out in the first ever Twenty20 cricket tournament organised by the Dakshina Kannada District Cricket Association in the city for Ace Surgical Cup for professional colleges at the Nehru Maidan here on Thursday.

Shree Devi 132 in 20 overs (Kalandar Nakeez 26, Mahesh three for 28) tied with Karavali 132 in 20 overs (Nazir 58, Jaleel three for 19, Badruddin two for 9).

Bowl out: Shree Devi 2 (Badruddin and Jaleel) bt Karavali 1 (Gerald); KMC 125 in 20 overs (Mithun K.N. 21, Ashfaq Pathan two for 17, Pranoy two for 17) lost to MCOPS 126 for eight in 20 overs (Malani 35, Sandesh 27, Sanaullah four for 18, Anurag Yadav two for 14). — Staff Correspondent
