Easy for Kallakudi

TIRUCHI: Kallakudi FC blanked Challenge Union FC 3-0 in a Tiruchi DFA third division ‘B’ zone football league fixture here on Thursday. Akilan, Balan and Rosario were the scorers.

In a second division ‘B’ zone league encounter, Immanuel FC edged BHC 1-0, with Narayanamurthy scoring.

Chess tournament

The Vijay Anandh Chess Academy will conduct a State-level chess tournament on February 23 and 24 at Urumu Dhanalakshmi College, Tiruchi. The event will be held in u-19, 13, 11, 9 and 7 age categories.

Nirmala College (Moovattupuzha) dispatched host Sree Narayana Guru Polytechnic College 3-1 in the fourth inter-State inter-collegiate football tournament, for the Sree Narayana Guru Rolling Trophy, at the SNGC grounds, Coimbatore on Thursday.

Cricket tournament

The CDCA under-13 inter-school tournament, for the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Metropolis Trophy, will be held at the SNR Sons and Forest College grounds, Coimbatore from February 18 to 21.
