Corporate Team (Gurgaon) takes trophy

HYDERABAD: Corporate Team (Gurgaon) won the Powergrid inter-regional kabaddi tournament defeating Northern Region (Jammu) 68-34, in the final here on Thursday.

Earlier in the semifinals, Corporate beat WRTS 56-26 while Northern Region downed Southern Region 34-27.

Anand Mohan, Executive Director, Powergrid, gave away the prizes.

Google wins

Google recorded a three-wicket win over Apollo Hospitals in the fourth Techpoint Premier League cricket championship for corporate groups.

The scores: Times of India 141 for four (Ravi 75) lost to Applabs 144 for four (Shiva 49); Microsoft 127 for nine tied with UBS 127 for eight; Apollo Hospitals 114 lost to Google 115 for seven; ISB 128 lost to Dell IT 129 for five (Rashid 43); NMDC 161 for seven (Sunil 81) bt Monster.com 111 for nine (Kiran four for 13); Dell IT 88 lost to TCS 91 for four.

SAI selections

Sports Authority of India (STC, Secunderabad and Saroornagar) will organise selection trials from February 21 to 23 for boys in athletics, badminton, hockey, archery, boxing, gymnastics, judo, handball and kabaddi for admission to its centres.
