Birla Sun Life grows in State

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Aditya Birla Group insurance company Birla Sun Life recorded an annualised premium of over Rs.17.73 crore in Kerala as on year-to-date December 2007, the company said in a press release here on Monday.

This represents a 140 per cent growth in premium over the corresponding period last year, the company said. The company has five branches and over 2,000 advisers in the State. It is also doing business through bank tie-ups and brokers. At the national level, the company’s individual life business recorded a growth of 141 per cent in new business premium for the year-to-date December 2007, the press release said.
