Woman charred to death

NEW DELHI: A 19-year-old woman was charred to death under mysterious circumstances at Bindapur here on Tuesday. The police are questioning the victim’s uncle.

The incident came to light around 8-30 p.m. when a neighbour of Musharraf (40) informed him that his house was on fire. He rushed home and found his niece Razia charred to death. The body was lying on the bed. There were some injuries on the neck of the victim, but the police were not sure if she was attacked with some weapon. Some area residents later told the police that they had seen two young men coming out of the victim’s house minutes before they noticed the fire. The police said they were awaiting the post-mortem report.
