Paying visit: Governor N. D. Tiwari being welcomed on his arrival on Friday by the TTD Trust Board Chairman, B. Karunakar Reddy, and the EO, K.V. Ramanachary, in Tirupati. TIRUMALA: The Governor Narayana Dutt Tiwari reached the temple town of Lord Venkateswara, Tirumala this afternoon as part of his two-day pilgrimage to the sacred town. He was accorded a warm reception on his arrival at the Padmavathi guest house. Later in the evening the Governor offered his prayers at the hill temple. The temple officials received him with the traditional temple honours and escorted him into the sanctum sanctorum where he paid his obeisance to the deity. While the temple priests honoured him with the sesha vastram, the TTD chairman B. Karunakar Reddy presented him with the laddu prasadam. Prominent among others who received him included the TTD Executive Officer K.V.Ramanachary, the tirumala based TTD Jt. EO G. Balaramaiah and other TTD and district officials. The Governor will participate in the five-day silver jubilee celebrations of the S. V. Veda Vidwat Sadassu to be organised on Saturday.
