NICE acquisition challenged

BANGALORE: Two residents of Bangalore are among the four who have challenged the acquisition of their lands by the State Government for the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project. The project, promoted by Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE), will construct an elevated expressway between Bangalore and Mysore, five townships, peripheral and link roads.

The petitionerssaid the acquisition proceedings are flawed and illegal.Justice Ravi Malimath adjourned further hearing of the case. — Staff Reporter
