Film: Nee Sukhame ne Korukunna

All those who have watched this Friday release would want to know if Giri Babu made this film for himself or for the audience. This yarn of a crappy film seems to be stuck in 1970s where misty-eyed, onscreen Telugu goddesses reeled off lengthy emotional, clichéd dialogues while their stone-hearted brothers slapped them, making them feel apologetic for falling in love.

The prime characters in the story look old enough to be parents but they go to a college, fall in and out of love due to misunderstandings and then there is a finale that makes one wonder if the title of the film has been gifted by a genius. The film has nothing to offer and even if it had, it takes a long time to move ahead.

Sneha wears a dumb expression throughout and Raja handpicks another bad role erasing ‘Mr. Medhavi’ from his portfolio.

One glaring inadequacy of this film is bad acting. A reasonable budget and popular actors don’t help. In this case, one can’t really blame the actors either.They are left to struggle with a bad script. The dialogues too are stuck in time and have no life, make no sense. Sneha comes from a rich family and insists on going by bus to college.

But strangely she doesn’t mind throwing a huge birthday party with dandia and sitar as fusion entertainment. Kota and Annapurna behave like servants rather than parents to Raghu Babu and Sneha and all the character artistes or the directors ex-colleagues have a field day sprinkling experience on the sloppy story.

Raghu Babu’s crazy outburst is trying and tiring. Brahmanandam as a fake chess champion is mediocre. He however, has the best lines and makes you a bit more alert whenever he is on screen. Dim-spirited, slip shod….overall the film has little to justify viewing.
