Register property in women’s name

The newly acquired property is now being increasingly registered in the name of women of the family in Uttar Pradesh, as the State Government has offered two per cent relief on stamp duty to women in the registry of property worth up to to Rs. 10 lakh. Such ownership of property not only increased the respect for women in their family but also in the in-law’s family.

This sort of act is also adding as a factor in their favour in families where in-laws tend to ill-treat women.

Such a social status, the Government of Andhra Pradesh too, if implements forthwith, would justify the upliftment of women and their empowerment in Swarnandhra Pradesh.

Speed breaker at Nanalnagar KV

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 located on a highway at Nanalnagar crossroads has 1,400 students. The road has no speed breakers nor are there any traffic constables to monitor the traffic. It is imperative to have speed breakers and therefore I request the authorities to post traffic constables to avoid accidents and help the school children in crossing the road at various points I hope the authorities concerned would look into the matter.

As the opening of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is nearing, I request the Railway Ministry to convert the present single broad gauge to double broad gauge line from Falakanuma to Shamshabad (Umdanagar railway station) under the South Central Railway. I request the MPs representing the State bring the matter to the notice of the Railway Minister and urge for an allocation in the railway budget for the purpose.

Tarnaka roads in bad shape

The roads in street no. 3 in Tarnaka are in very bad shape. These roads and lanes did not see any carpeting for the past ten years.

Further the excavation of the roads taken up by Airtel and Reliance two years ago for laying the cables is not restored to its original state.

Then the drainage work began and this went for a long time. The present condition is worse. Street No. 6 has been excavated and blocked since two months causing inconvenience to the public. It is difficult to even to walk on the roads leave alone driv

The Hindu has been publishing about the bad road conditions, but there is no action from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

I hope some concerned official would take up the matter and do the needful./
