ITI offers skill development course

Kakinada: The Government ITI, Kakinada, has invited applications from unemployed youth for admission to vocational training courses under the Skill Development Initiative Scheme of the Commissionerate of Employment and Training.

The courses will be conducted in the following sectors: automobiles (basic servicing of two, three and four-wheelers, repair and overhauling of two-wheelers, light and heavy vehicles), electrical (repair of home appliances and house wiring), fabrication (welding- gas and arc, gas cutting and fabrication and pipe welding), garments (hand and machine embroidery, garment packing and ironing and tailoring), computer fundamentals, MS Office and Internet), production and manufacturing (turning, milling, advance milling and surface grinding) and repair and maintenance of refrigerators and deep freezers and air-conditioners.

V. Srinivasa Rao of the ITI has stated in a press release that the course fee varies from Rs. 500 to Rs. 2,000 depending on the duration of each course. The candidates should have completed school education (between 5th class and 10th class), Intermediate or graduation.
