Cinema bandh withdrawn

Bangalore: Following assurances by the Government, the Kannada film industry decided to withdraw its cinema bandh scheduled for February 28. The vice-president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Thomas D’Souza, on Monday, said that a delegation of the Kannada cinema industry met the adviser to the Governor P.K.H. Tharakan and appraised him of their problems. Mr. Tharakan assured them that the Government would consider their problems sympathetically.
