HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party members on Tuesday staged a walkout in the Legislative Council after Chairman A. Chakrapani pulled up Leader of Opposition D.Veerabhadra Rao for stating that the budget was the last opportunity for the Government. Before leading the walkout, Mr. Rao protested to the Chair saying, “don’t try to control on what I should speak”, even as there were heated exchanges between the Congress and the TDP members. Pulling up Mr. Rao for sulking for “five minutes” even after he was asked to continue his speech, the chairman said his comments were out of context. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
