Rupee gains six paise

MUMBAI: The rupee gained by six paise at 39.90/91 against the greenback as the dollar availability in the system improved amid a fresh rise in stock markets.

The rupee, however, traded in a small range of 39.90 and 39.95 during the day after resuming strong at 39.90/92 a dollar from Monday’s close of 39.96/97 a dollar.

The rupee premiums on forward dollar ended strong on fresh paying pressure from banks and corporates. — PTI
