170 apply so far for ‘kalyanamasthu’

VIZIANAGARAM: Some 170 applications have so far been received for the TTD’s mass marriage programme ‘kalyanamasthu’ on March 9 against the distribution of 500 forms. No applications have been received from Cheepurupalli and Bhogapuram constituencies. A maximum of 34 applications have been received from Naguru constituency followed by 25 each from Bobbili and Parvathipuram, 18 from Vizianagaram, 15 each from S. Kota and Therlam, 13 from Salur, 12 from Gajapathingaram, 10 from Sathiwada and three from Uttarapalli constituency, according to programme district in-charge P. Muralikrishna.

The last date for receiving the applications at Tehsildar, MPDO and panchayat offices has been extended up to March 5. The TTD is making every effort for wide publicity. The free mass marriages will be held at the kalyanamandapams notified earlier.
