Award for ‘Discovery’ magazine

Honoured: D. Srinivasa Reddy, Chief Editor of Discovery, a city-based science monthly, receiving the National Science Award for 2007 in print medium for popularising science, from Union Minister Kapil Sibal in New Delhi on Thursday.

HYDERABAD: Discovery, a city-based science monthly, has bagged the National Science Award for 2007 in print medium for popularising science.

D. Srinivasa Reddy, Chief Editor of the magazine, received the award from Kapil Sibal, Union Minister for Science and Technology, in New Delhi on Thursday.

The award comprises Rs.1 lakh cash prize, a memento and a certificate of appreciation.

The citation said:

‘Discovery has established readership for popular science subjects among Telugu readers and recently among Hindi and English subscribers with attractive compilations and wall calendars to reinforce the message’.
