Yenepoya, Karavali post wins

MANGALORE: Yenepoya Medical and Dental College (Deralakatte) and Karavali College (Mangalore) posted wins in their respective matches in the Twenty20 cricket tournament for the Ace Surgical Cup here on Saturday.

The scores: Yenepoya 141 for nine in 20 overs (Imbraz 34, Mirza 23, Chidananda Kamath three for 15, Nikhil Das Bhat three for 35) bt KSHEMA 127 for nine in 20 overs (Sanketh 37, Roshan 29, Zahid five for 28); Karavali College 115 for eight in 20 overs (Swaroop Gerald 40 n.o., Rineesh two for 23) bt A.J. Shetty Institute 106 in 18.4 overs (Alexander 34, Hemanth 24, Joel three for 30, Rakesh two for 28).

Krishna is hero

A match-winning goal by Krishna in the 60th minute helped Durgambha FC register a 1-0 upset win over defending champion Govt. Text Book Press FC (Mysore) in the MDFA ‘A’ division football league in Mysore on Saturday.
