VIJAYAWADA: Karnataka State Police (KSP) and Bangalore’s Dhanraj-Ballal Hockey Academy (DBHA) entered the final of the Golden Jubilee all-India invitational hockey knock-out tournament, organised by the Dharmavaram Athletics Association at Dharmavaram, according to information reaching here on Saturday. In the first semifinal, DBHA defeated Sports Training Centre (Secunderabad) 1-0 with centre-forward Varghese scoring in the 18th minute. In the 56th minute, STC had an opportunity to draw parity, but Sudhir’s penalty stroke went wide. In the second semifinal, KSP outplayed Vizag District Hockey Association 4-1. A fine hat-trick by Pradeep was the highlight of the match.
