Writer passes away

Polavarapu Koteswara Rao, writer and theatre director, died here on Sunday. He was said to be suffering from chronic lung disorder. He is survived by wife, three daughters and a son. He was 79. Rao won several literary awards, including one by the Telugu Akademi. He wrote a play on ‘Yaksha Ganam’ and directed it. He also authored several books on history and culture of Krishna district and on Kuchipudi dance form.
