BHADRACHALAM: The Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) will set up 59 farm mechanisation depots in the sub plan area of Khammam district. The depots to be managed by the self-help groups will be costing Rs 4.34 crores, according to ITDA project officer Budha Prakash Jyothi. The ITDA had planned to go in for farm mechanisation in a big way to improve the agricultural practices of the tribal communities in some 29 mandals. A farm mechanisation depot set up last year at Boddugudem in Bhadrachalam division started giving the desired results and egged on withy the success, the programme was being extended to a number of tribal villages. The ITDA project officer had reviewed the functioning of the mechanisation unit at Boddugudem at a meeting here in the day.
