A noble gesture

BANGALORE: The Vijay Amritraj Foundation will make a significant donation to Bangalore-based NGO, Mithra Jyothi, at the KSLTA Stadium here on Thursday.

Briefing the media here on Wednesday, Vijay Amritraj said his foundation has been supporting Indian NGOs which have been striving to improve the quality of life for underprivileged and the physically challenged.

“This is something in my heart and as an Indian based in the USA, I had the good fortune of raising funds through my foundation for several worthy causes. I hope more will join me in this mission,” the former Indian ace said.

The Vijay Amritraj Foundation has on advisory board eminent personalities which include the U.S. President, George W. Bush, Michael Grindon, President, Sony, Dr. Vijay Mallya, Chairman, UB Group, and Shashi Tharoor, former Under Secretary General, United Nations. — Special Correspondent
