Umapathy hits century

CHENNAI: G. Umapathy (104) starred in Southern Railway’s three-wicket win in the all-India Railway men’s cricket championship here on Wednesday.

The scores:

South Eastern Railway 292 for six in 50 overs (Anirban Gupta 67 not out, Kuldip Sharma 59, Aaftab Alam 46, Santodip Pal 44) lost to Southern Railway 293 for seven in 44.2 overs (G. Umapathy 104, A. Bhaskar 65).

DLW 240 for six in 50 overs (Rakesh Mishra 96, Mritunjay 46 not out) lost to North Eastern Railway 224 in 49.2 overs (Majid Hassan Khan 40, Mritunjay four for 36).
