NIT-Karnataka sides lose

MANGALORE: National Institute of Technology — Karnataka (Srinivasnagar) ‘A’ and ‘B’ sides suffered embarrassing reverses in the Twenty20 cricket tournament for the Ace Surgical Cup played at the Nehru Maidan here on Thursday.

While NIT-K ‘B’ side lost to Fr. Muller Medical College by two wickets, its ‘A’ side was crushed by Canara Engineering College (Benjanapadavu) by eight wickets in the second match of the day.

The scores: NIT-K ‘B’ 108 for nine in 20 overs (Rohan four for 17) lost to Fr. Muller Medical College 111 for eight in 18.1 overs; NIT-K ‘A’ 114 for nine in 20 overs lost to Canara Engineering College (Benjanapadavu) 118 for two in 14.2 overs (Sujith Prabhu 54). — Staff Correspondent
