Lady Andal emerges winner

CHENNAI: Lady Andal defeated ICF School 3-2 via the tie-breaker in the final of the CFA-Don Bosco golden jubilee under-10 football tournament held here.

The teams were locked 1-1 at the end of regular time.

Ishan Reddy scored for Lady Andal and Gokul equalised in the regulation time.

Thereafter, Yoga Dinesh and Tarun Reddy were successful in the tie-breaker for the winner where only Saurav could covert for the loser.

Earlier results:

Third place: Anjuman 2 (Azar, Sheik Ali) bt Don Bosco 1 (Roger) via tie-breaker.

Semifinals: Lady Andal 1 (Ishan Reddy) bt Don Bosco 0; ICF 3 (Suhail, Saurav, Robin) bt Anjuman 2 (Azaruddin, A. Ali).
Vasu wins

D. Vasu (8) and Shankar Nathan (20) won Division I and II respectively, in the TNGF-Colorplus golf tournament, played at the Cosmo-TNGF golf course.

Kulwaran Singh (12) and T. Hari (20) were the runners-up respectively.q

Division I: Winner: C. Saitu (nett, 69). Runner-up: Aditya Govindaran (71).

Division II: Winner: Menon (69). Runner-up: Jagan.M.Seshandri (69).
Table tennis tournament

The Jiwan Mal Nahata memorial table tennis tournament, organised by the Centre Court Table Tennis Club and the Jiwan Mal Nahata Trust, will feature some of the city’s top colleges including Loyola, SRM, MOP-Vaishnav, and Anna University.

The two-day tournament will begin on Friday at the SDAT-Chandra Acadamy (D.G. Vaishnav College).
