RBI staff gear up for strike on Mar. 12

HYDERABAD: In response to a call from the All India Reserve Bank Employees Association, staff working in the RBI here are gearing up to strike work on March 12 in pursuance of their demands that primarily include recruitment in Class III cadre (Assistants) and opposing outsourcing of statutory functions.

On Friday, MLC K. Nageswar released a poster brought out to improve awareness among employees on the demands. Other demands included opening of full-fledged RBI offices in all State capitals and an end to discrimination against basic grades of staff. The number of clerical cadre in the Hyderabad had come down from 594 to 183 now.
