Indian archers on target

JAMSHEDPUR: The Indian archers dominated the bamboo bow section on the opening day of the second South Asian archery championship at the JRD Tata Sports Complex here on Friday.

The Indians picked up eight gold and six silver medals, while Bangladesh and Nepal claimed one silver and four bronze medals each. Sri Lanka and Bhutan failed to win a single medal.

The bamboo bow, well known as Indian round, has been introduced in this championship for the first time.
