R.P. Singh to play in Deodhar Trophy

Bangalore: Left-arm seamer R.P. Singh, recovering from a right hamstring injury, said he will play in the Deodhar Trophy.

R.P. Singh had a round of fitness tests along with seamer Pankaj Singh at the National Cricket Academy here on Friday as part of the preparatory phase for the three Test series against South Africa.

It is also reliably learnt that Pankaj is nursing a side strain.

Former skipper Sourav Ganguly will report for fitness tests on Saturday. — Principal Correspondent
