Bakyaraj bags title

BANGALORE: P. Bakyaraj of Siemens, Chennai emerged winner of the Ascendas Grandmaster chess tournament for Information Technology Software Parks’ employees in the final played here on Friday.

The contest was played in the rapid chess format. Bakyaraj, Sriharsha (Hyderabad) and Gajanana (Bangalore) ended up with two points each in the resulting playoff Bakyaraj won. — Special Correspondent
