Sharma hits hundred

CHENNAI: Karan Sharma’s 112 (129b, 12x4) went in vain as DLW lost to East Central by two wickets in the all-India Railway mini-league cricket championship at the ICF Stadium here on Friday.

Ratan Kumar (64, 106b, 8x4) set up East Central’s victory.

The scores: SER 266 in 49.1 overs (Shoam Ghosh 85, P.S. Roy 57, Arish Alam four for 29) bt NER 204 in 45.4 overs (Kanojia 60); DLW 223 for nine in 50 overs (Karan Sharma 112) lost to ECR 224 for eight in 50 overs (Ratan Kumar 64, Niraj Kumar 45 n.o).
