Indian, British players reprimanded

Santiago: Two Indian players — midfielders Gurbaj Singh and Vikram Kanth — were reprimanded for ‘breach of conduct’ during their match against Great Britain in the Olympic hockey qualifiers here.

British forward Simon Mantell was also rebuked for his conduct in the same match.

Letters of reprimand were issued to the two teams following a hearing soon after the game that Great Britain won 3-2, International Hockey Federation’s media officer Yan Huckendubler said. — PTI
