The problem I’ve experienced of late is that vehicle users, who use the flyover from the Canal Road side to Police Control Room side, have to face tense moments because of speed with which vehicles approach from the opposite direction. The vehicles coming from Police Control Room junction go to left half of the flyover and often come into the right half too, thus creating inconvenience to traffic coming from opposite direction and cause accidents. Traffic police and municipal authorities together should seriously think of constructing a road divider for streamlining the traffic on the flyover. S.T.K. Parthasarathi Pinnamaneni Polyclinic Road, Vijayawada Remove road barricadeBecause of the introduction of new traffic regulation at Sankar Vilas centre for some time now, the 6th lane of Arundelpet joining the main road is closed. With the restriction of right turn from Brodipet 4th lane, residents of Brodipet and other traffic that comes from the area are compelled to proceed to Arundelpet police station centre to take right turn to join the main road to proceed to One Town, crossing the over bridge. This is causing inconvenience and loss of time either to reach railway station on Arundelpet side or railway station and General Hospital on the other side of the over bridge. Hence, the road barricade at the first cross of the 4th lane of Brodipet should be removed to allow two-way traffic to and from the over bridge side through Sankar Vilas centre. P.S. Murthy Brodipet, Guntur Transparency neededRegional passport authorities have made elaborate arrangements at various places for the convenience of public, who are applying for passports. Unfortunately, the same step is causing several complications. When approached e-seva center for application form, one can get only old set of forms. Same is the case with Buckinghampet post office. Obtaining demand draft is another long process. Though application form says draft drawn at any nationalised bank is acceptable, staff at many banks suggest that the passport authorities accept drafts of particular branches only. When people approach for clarifications at passport office, which is on the third floor, the door in the afternoon session is always closed and the security personnel will never care to respond in a proper manner. The authorised travel agency says every thing is made online. Finally, the very meaning of simplification of the entire procedure has lost.
