ISRO triumphs

BANGALORE: Indian Space Research Organisation beat Student’s Union 3-2 via the tie-breaker to lift the Jai Maruthi Cup, the symbol of supremacy in the State ‘C’ division league football championship here on Monday.

Chetan, Manju and Subramanya scored for ISRO in the shoot-out while Abdulla and Deepak netted for Student’s Union. The teams were locked 0-0 in regulation time.

In the match for third and fourth places, Queen’s Star beat Minerva 3-1 with Inderjit (42nd & 60th) and Padmanabhan (51st) scoring for the winner and Kishore (25th) scoring Minerva’s only goal.
