Buchanan praises Ishant

KOLKATA: Former Australian coach John Buchanan had a word of praise for India’s new bowling sensation Ishant Sharma.

Buchanan, in town to attend the unveiling of the Kolkata team on Tuesday, said during an informal chat with the media on Monday that the lanky bowler would soon be India’s bowling spearhead.

He, however, wanted the Delhi lad to put on more muscle in order to last in the gruelling world of international cricket.

He praised the Indian selectors for preferring youth over experience, especially in the shorter version of the game. — Special Correspondent
