Rs.15-lakh CSR project implemented in Guduvanchery

KANCHEEPURAM: Society-oriented welfare programmes worth around Rs.15 lakh have been implemented in Nandivaram-Guduvanchery town panchayat through the Corporate Social Responsibility project of Intimate Fashions, Guduvancheri.

Enquiries reveal that the company had donated 50 sodium vapour lamps to the town panchayat for installation along the Nellikuppam Road from Guduvanchery to Kayarambedu village. A deep borewell and an overhead water tank had been constructed on the Government Adi Dravidar Primary School premises.

Uniforms, shoes, and notebooks were distributed to 130 pupils by company chairman Mahesh Amalin and director, John Siramal, at a function held on the school premises recently.

Apart from this, a park had been set up at the primary health centre at the cost of Rs.3 lakh, sources added.
