NICE case adjourned

BANGALORE: A Division Bench of the Karnataka High Court comprising Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph and Justice B.V. Nagaratna adjourned to April 2 hearing on a petition by Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) challenging a 2006 order of the State Government changing the alignment of the Mysore-Bangalore Road across Gottigere Lake near Bangalore.

Under the changed alignment, NICE was asked to build the road over the lake and not bisect the lake. NICE is the promoter of the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Project and the road in question is part of it.
