Media advisory panel for Rajya Sabha

NEW DELHI: Vice-President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari has for the first time constituted an 11-member Media Advisory Committee to be headed by The Hindu’s Harish Khare.

Urmilesh (Hindi Hindustan) will be Vice Chairman and M.V. Meenakshisundaram (PTI) and Saurabh Shukla (India Today) Secretary and Joint Secretary. The avowed function of the committee will be to render advice regarding admission of newspapers and media persons to the Press Gallery of the Rajya Sabha to cover the proceedings of the House.
