Arrest warrant issued against MDMK leader

RAMANATHAPURAM: Fast Track Court judge N. Robi on Wednesday issued an arrest warrant against Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Nanjil Sampath for failing to appear in the court in connection with a defamation case.

Mr. Sampath allegedly made derogatory remarks against Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi at a public meeting held on June 2, 2006.
