Court order in BJP office attack case

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Friday directed the Chennai Police Commissioner to entrust the investigation of the case relating to the attack on the BJP State head office here on September 23 last to an Assistant Commissioner who does not form part of the team headed by Joint Commissioner of Police Durairaj.

The direction was to ensure unbiased and impartial investigation, the court said.

The Assistant Commissioner should thoroughly investigate the case and file the final report within two months.
