Land-grab victim on fast unto death

TIRUPATI: With the two Left parties and the TDP supporting Ch. Venkatachalam, who launched fast-unto-death in front of the RDO’s Office here on Friday against the alleged grabbing of his land near the market yard on the Tiruchanur road by those claiming proximity to a ruling party big-wig in the town, the issue assumed political dimensions. The all-party leaders, who visited the strike camp, asked the revenue and the police departments to ensure safety to lives and properties of people.
