PMC ‘A’ triumphs

THIRUVALLA: Host Pushpagiri Medical College (PMC) ‘A’ completed a hat-trick of title wins in the Mar Theophilos inter-medicos basketball tournament at the Pushpagiri Medical College floodlit courts here on Thursday night.

In the final, Pushpagiri Medical College defeated Somervel Memorial Medical College, Karakonam 43-14 after leading 27-12 at half-time.

Jeniev Thomas of Pushpagiri and Janaki Ns.Dutt (Somervel) were chosen as the best players in the men’s and women’s sections respectively.

The result (final): Men: Pushpagiri Medical College ‘A’ 43 (Alias Thomas 14, Jenin Thomas 10, Jeril Thomas 10) bt Somervel Memorial Medical College 23 (Thomson Sam 14).
