Special services programme conducted

Chennai: The regional office of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation recently organised a host of special services programme to commemorate its foundation day.

Workshops were organised to redress grievances of employers and employees under the ESI schemes. A branch office was inaugurated at Maraimalai Nagar. Medical camps were also conducted.

S. Arunachalam, former ESI regional director, was honoured at the valedictory ceremony of the fortnight-long special services programme on Monday.

S. Thomas, additional commissioner and regional director of ESIC, presided over the meeting, the release said.
