Kerala Minister slams U.S. report

KOTTAYAM: Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has dismissed the adverse reference to Kerala in the ‘Country Reports on Human Rights Practices 2007’ released by the U.S. State Department as yet another instance of the campaign to destroy Communist governments in the country.

He said there had been no custodial death in the State during 2007.
