Shikha to meet Rushmi

GREATER NOIDA: Shikha Uberoi defeated Nicola Mooney of Britain 6-1, 6-1 to move into the second qualifying round of the $25,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament here.

The Indian Fed Cup player will be challenged by Rushmi Chakravarthi in the next round.

Geeta Manohar, Shalini Sahoo, Sonal Phadke and Aishwarya Agrawal are some of the other Indian players vying for the qualifying spots in a draw of 64. — Special Correspondent
