Infosys BPO, 24/7 emerge champions

Bangalore: Infosys BPO and 24/7 Customer emerged champions in the Polycom Twenty20 corporate cricket championship, which concluded at RSI Grounds here.

In the Champions Trophy final, Infosys BPO defeated Axis Designs by 31 runs. Infosys BPO made 153 for six wickets in 20 overs with Mukund top scoring with 44 while, Musharib hit an unbeaten 32. In reply, Axis Designs mustered 122 and Mukund, took three wickets for 12 runs and was named the `Man of the Match’ for his all round display. 24/7 Customer snatched an exciting one wicket victory over Microland in the Challengers Cup.

WIPRO took the title in the Premier Cup division as its rival, Bites & Foods, failed to turn up. Infosys BPO, besides the trophy also claimed a winners cheque of Rs.30,000 while runner-up Axis Designs received Rs. 20,000 as prize money.

Special awards: Highest wicket-taker: Shashank (24/7 Customer). Best bowler: Srikant (Axis Designs). Best batsman: Mukund (Infosys BPO). Highest run-getter: Sundeep (Infosys). Man of the Series: Govind Raju (Wipro).
