ARIYALUR: Collector R. Sudalaikannan on Monday directed officials to act promptly on the 542 petitions he received from the public during the weekly interface for redressing grievances. The petitions pertained to requests for house pattas, rehabilitation loans, old age pension, employment, education loans and patta transfer. Mr. Sudalaikannan also handed over a cheque for Rs. 10,000 from the Chief Minister’s Accident Relief Scheme to Santhosh Ragini whose husband Michaelraj had died in an accident.
