RMD posts win

CHENNAI: Host RMD Engineering College defeated S.A. Engineering College by 12 runs on the inaugural day of the RMK Trophy inter-engineering cricket tournament here on Monday.

The scores: RMD EC 157 for seven in 20 overs (Vivek 34, Karthik 29, Balakumar three for 24) bt SA EC 145 for five in 20 overs (Lenin 38, Kirankumar 30, K. Vivek three for 25); Venkateshwara EC 124 for seven in 20 overs (Suzal Samuel Shukla 43, V. Gopinth three for 21, Aswin two for 20) bt Sairam EC 114 for five in 20 overs (Bharath 34, Aswin 24).
